Next armature construction class

Lovely third years

We will continue construction of your armatures. We will be doing the hands and feet next. Please remember to bring the following to the next class (that's next week 1 March):

Your design, armatures and all materials from week 5, plus

Ferrules - 4mm and 6mm ones, about 4 of each (see pic)

Superglue and Two part epoxy glue (see pic)

Copper wire, about 0.7mm thick (see pic) - though many of you already got some from me

Nuts and bolts , that go together/ are the same size

Then, if you have one already, please bring along one of these nifty table-top vices(see pic). We will be working on the feet and you will need to make your armature stand on its own, with space free underneath the armatures, as you may tinker with it from below.

If you don't have one of these or something similar, don't despair. Just bring an empty! tin or plastic container.(See pic) We will make holes in it and have your armatures bolts go through those holes. It's all very high-tech, as you can see...

Also, bring a small container or something to carry your hands in after class finished (the armature's hands).
